MAGIC BEANS
Space Creator Band

a rich mans goal is a fools dream
this poor man sat on the sidewalk strumming patiently
political man he came this way
and said hey Mr. I need your vote today
he looked at you with a smirk on his face
and said, hey i've been there before
and it always seems to end in war
so no, political man, i could not support your ways
i always hoped I would meet you just so I could say

have you ever seen a hungry baby cry
does it hurt you, i forgot, you're dignified
have you ever seen a white dove sail over the sea, it's free
we will overcome, my friends, hand in hand

a crazy man, you're always following me
you're saying you preach the word of god in all your tv's and all your magazines
but even in me your corrupt media i see
trying to turn me into something that I really don't desire to be
  I'd like to be free

have you ever seen a loved one die
does it hurt you, i forgot, you're dignified
have you ever seen a white dove sail over the sea, it's free
we will overcome, my friends, hand in hand

the more i thought about it, the more i realize

that in times like these i wish i had some magic beans
i'd plant them on my magic hill
watch this world expand
and burst through your canopies of oppression
FUNK MASTER GYPSY MAN
Space Creator Band

I'm a funk master gypsy man
I was born on the 4th of July with this axe in my hand
I sing about the good things but I can't forget the sad
People wonder where I came from and where the hell am I going
But that really is no concern of theirs now is it

I'll never forget that Mississippi night
Sitting under the tree the sun was so bright
When it all went down we heard a voice that said, "How do you do"

Took a greyhound bus many years ago
It was he and his lonesome soul
And he hurried back as quick as he could
Because he knew we were here, and he said

Maybe if you were just a little more pretty they would all listen to you
Maybe if you dressed like everybody they would all love you
Maybe if you tried to be like everybody they would all respect you
Maybe if you drove the same car they would think better of you

MR. POSTMAN
Space Creator Band

Mr. Postman, here's a letter for you
Mr. Postman, bring me some happy news

The world I live in is so sad
Look at all these people and all they have
Still wanting more, more and more
Mr. Postman, here's the door

Mr. Doorman, I'll hold the door for you
Mr. Doorman, I don't have any happy news

The world I live in is sad too
Look at all these people and the crazy things they do
The world I live in is so sad
Look at all these people and how they're acting so bad
Still wanting more, more and more
Mr. Doorman, I can't take no more
Tell A Vision Via Satellite
Space Creator Band

Don't sit too close to the TV it might burn your eyes
Cosmic rays from outer space beamed off a satellite
You're on cloud 9, are you feeling alright
Fire's raging overseas, turbulent indeed, but the stars still twinkle at night

Don't sit too close to the TV it might burn your eyes
Don't listen to every story they tell you cuz you know it  might be lie
Go outside the grass still grows green, wind blows, sun still shines
The view from this angle makes everything seem so bright

Don't sit too close to the TV it might burn your eyes
Why's everybody gotta go "bzz", hide their evil faces behind a glamourous smile
Watch out for the propaganda beams falling far from the sky
Break me off with some bad news and a fuzzy kitten to tide me by

There you were riding the tidal wave
Into the moonlit night
There you were imitating my shadow side
See the trail through the water, it only leads to you

Nobody sees the same trail that you do
You can fight it if you can stand but you're never change the truth at hand
You're gonna die someday

How you live your life is up to you, hear what I say
Don't sit too close to the TV it might burn your eyes

We The People - SCB

Freight Train - SCB

WE THE PEOPLE
Space Creator Band

How can you discover land and meet a man?
Why would you sail the ocean blue with a plundering hand?
How can words turn this world from flat to round?
But cries from the poor never seem to make a sound

Just how do you view the birth of the red, white and blue?
Were they rebelling against leaders, for what else did they do?
I guess they were not patriotic since they did not support the man
Give me the poison because I'll speak the truth and die by my own hand

We the people got something to say
We the people got something to change
We the people got something to do
We the people gonna take it back from you

How can you see when the media distorts the truth?
I bet you caught the latest fad, let me see your brand new shoes
How can you be a walking billboard for all those that bring you down?
Out to make a buck, destroy local business bringing poverty to your town

After all it's we the people, not we the monopolies
It's about us, not some untouchable, plastic aristocracy
How can words turn the world from flat to round
Yet cries from the poor never seem to make a sound

We the people got something to say
We the people got something to change
We the people got something to do
We the people gonna take it back from you
FREIGHT TRAIN
Space Creator Band

Nobody seems to hear us speak
They push us away like we have a contagious disease, TB
Nobody sees our freight train
Yet it's loaded to go and it's on the way

We tried to speak but the chief got mad
He wrote all these laws that hold us back
You know we tried to stand but he made us fall
I guess that we're just not too tall all at

We must be wrong, we can't be right
The chief is never satisfied
We might be right yeah, but we can't be wrong
Lest we let our certainty fall on too strong

All of these hypocrites try to tell us what to think
They don't realize just how easy they sink
Into the plastic world that we always preach about
The ironic plot always seems to twist them around and around

Wake Of Capo - SCB

Me And The Devil, by Robert Johnson, 1937

WAKE OF CAPO
Space Creator Band
2005

 no one could have known
 times are turning
 no one could foresee

 in the distant times
 still coming
 for all to see

 every time across the waves
to the shoreline in the day
 turn into the night
no one could see the sun
no one could see us in your light
no one saw the stars, they didn't shine at night

 you were so bright

take your materialistic philosophy and run away
 into your own world
it's not mine if mine is shared
with everyone else who would never care
 in this world

the story comes, it's on the way
here it comes, it's on the way

 what will the rich do
when the meteor comes and takes them through changes
everyone is left all the same
no way to get your resource from the shores of africa
no way to keep your fame

 there'll be no more media
there'll be no more stereo's in your room
 there'll be no more hysteria
 for you to consume
that you can't bring or do
 you can't bring that too
ultimate terror is not in your hands

Wake Of Capo was our first home video recording ever - lyrics and music completely freestyle . . .

Robert Johnson's music will always be inspirational . . .
